We are conveniently located in the Rosedale / Albany area. Our childcare centre is licensed for up to 80 children spread across 3 rooms.
We warmly welcome Babies / Infants, Toddlers and Preschool children.
Our RoomsEach of our rooms is carefully designed for the age and stage of the children in the room – from the room layout, resources and play equipment, bathrooms and sleep spaces and the daily routines. Transition between rooms is decided in consultation with our families to ensure the timing and transition programme is reflective of your preferences and in the best interests of your child.
Fantail RoomBabies & Infants
We recognise that your utmost priority is ensuring your infant feels secure, cherished, and valued in an environment that exudes comfort and familiarity, akin to home. That's why our team is dedicated to delivering attentive, nurturing care as your little one explores the world through movement and meaningful interactions.
Tui RoomToddlers
In our toddler rooms, we cultivate a relaxed ambiance that inspires curiosity, exploration, and the development of emerging self-help abilities in your child. Recognising toddlers' boundless energy, our team ensures a blend of care and learning through an engaging curriculum, fostering growth within a secure and comfortable setting.
Kereru RoomPreschool
Our preschool learning environments are purposefully crafted to ignite curiosity and encourage children's natural inclination for exploration and discovery. Through our curriculum, we introduce your preschooler to foundational concepts in literacy, numeracy, as well as social and emotional skills, nurturing a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

“Kowhai Kids... the perfect place for our babies to grow. The Staff at Kowhai Kids have helped mold my daughter into such a beautiful, independent & caring little person. My daughter has been apart of Kowhai Kids since she was 5 months old and has built such a strong relationship with all her friends and kaiako (teachers). She is currently in amongst the Tui class and the relationships she has built with others just melt my heart. There is a great outdoor play area and indoor space for the kids to explore.
